While visiting Grand Teton National Park, my family hiked the Jenny Lake Trail and stopped for lunch at the String Lake Trailhead and parking lot. While eating lunch, we spotted a mink in the water, which lead to our keeping a close eye on the creek to see if we could spot it again. While the mink never popped up again, I spotted this Hummingbird Moth flying back and forth across the water's surface. I was curious about the moth's behavior, so I snapped lots of photos. Later, when I looked back over what I had captured, I observed that this moth was drinking as it was skipping across the water's surface. This was such a special moment for me because I was able to observe such a unique behavior that is not commonly seen. This photo just shows how even the smallest of creatures are incredible and unique.
